Throwing. Beginners and advanced
This course is intended for those that want to make seeming ordinary pots into extraordinary pots. It is often said that “God is in the details” so the focus of the course will the search of your personal God. I would like to each day pick an item to make and assemble that day. We will have a no holds barred critique with our morning café latte to discuss the previous day’s work. If that vessel needs revisiting we will attempt it until it is extraordinary. We will keep only one of each series of pots to be fired in the gas kiln before courses end. The purpose of the course is for you to come home with ideas and skills not boxes of pots.
The items I would like to focus on are the serving dish, the covered container, the teapot, the platter and of course the pitcher/vase.
La Meridiana is the perfect setting for creativity to grow and flourish. I plan to plant the seed so that you can go home to your studios and make extraordinary pots for occasional use.

Cost: € 2100
