Facilitators: Lorri Acott and Adam Schultz www.lorriacott.com
September 2nd – 15th 2018
Sculpture. Advanced or Professional

A two week Tuscan Sculpture Symposium including the filming of a documentary that will be exploring the importance of public artwork, and what it means to be a professional sculptor in the world of today. 10-12 selected participants will be featured in the documentary as they take inspiration from the timeless sculptures in Florence, and are then moved to create their own work using local clay and materials. Working out of a spacious, centuries-old Tuscan studio just outside of the small town of Certaldo, each sculptor will be able to fully immerse themselves in the Italian experience as they create new sculptures for their portfolios. Additionally, the artists will given the opportunity to cast their sculptures in bronze using a local Florentine foundry, and will be invited to exhibit their resulting artwork in an exclusive international Sculpture Exhibition in Florence, Italy 2019.
If you are interested in this symposium and documentary, Please submit five images of current work and a short essay (under 1000 words) about why you are interested in being a part of this project. Please send to DreamBigSculpture@gmail.com

Selected artists will be contacted within 2 weeks of their submission.
