Since 1981 La Meridiana offers residential Ceramic Courses
and Pottery Workshops of one or two weeks for beginners,
advanced and professional potters.
The courses refer to all ceramic processes and accommodate all skill levels. The one or two week long courses cover techniques for making, decorating and firing functional and sculptural pieces.
The longer, two or three month intensive courses are dedicated to throwing and functional ceramics, equipping students with a strong foundation in clay.
The Ceramic School is set in a restored 17th century farmhouse,
in the centre of Tuscany, land of Etruscan and Roman culture,
medieval architecture and renaissance splendour.
Our goal is to offer a facility dedicated to a continual education in the ceramic art, a meeting ground in a place rich in Italian culture.
Instructors of exceptional repute lead all our courses.
Just like our students, they come from across the world.
With an average of 200 students every year, over 5000 students have attended courses at La Meridiana to date.
