RESIDENCIES
An opportunity to work in a well-equipped studio away from home
In recent years, La Meridiana has been working to develop a residency program aimed at more advanced or professional artists interested in exploring individual ideas in a fully-equipped studio away from home. La Meridiana is able to provide each artist with an individual space in the studio to work independently.
Artists can stay at La Meridiana for anywhere from one or two weeks to one to three months. In addition to the two apartments directly above the studio space, there are several ideal apartments available to students within a very short walking distance.
Fees include rent for apartments, studio space and technical assistance from our staff, and will be adjusted according to the length of the stay. Firing and clay costs will be determined on an individual basis.
Various trips to the nearby town of Certaldo provide our residents with time to explore, shop for food, and take care of other personal business.
Residencies are available during the winter months only, and applications will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis.
