MO JUPP
Born in South London, he graduated first from Camberwell Art School and later from the Royal College of Art. Since the 1960's he has been teaching and lecturing in many English art colleges. His work enjoys worldwide esteem. It has been said about him that 'it would be as difficult to define Mo's position as a "potter" as it would be to capture the essence of his personality in a sentence. His notebooks are full of drawings, ideas, conclusions, statements, witnesses for an energetic mind that searches perpetually for another extension, another permutation, another exploration. Nothing in his work has ever remained static. He is a catalytic sort of teacher, not an oppressor but rather an appreciator of other people's special qualities.'
